Keikyu Yokohama Station serves the Keikyu Main Line which runs between Sengakuji Station in Tokyo’s Minato ward and Uraga Station in Yokosuka City, Kanagawa Prefecture. This is an important through line for express services that run regularly to Haneda Airport. There are also a limited number of direct express services for Narita Airport. Southbound through services run to the seaside resort area of the Miura Peninsula.
At Yokohama Station the Keikyu Main Line can be accessed from the B1 basement level of the main station building and the platforms are on the 1st floor. The Keikyu and JR railway companies share the main station building, with Keikyu running services from platforms 1 and 2 and JR running services from platforms 3 to 10. The Keikyu ticket gates can be found on the east side of the station.
Tickets and Information
There are three sets of Keikyu ticket gates at Yokohama Station. The North Ticket Gate is located at the east end of the main building’s Northern Passage.
The Central Ticket Gate is located at the east end of the Central Passage.
There is also a South Ticket Gate which can be accessed by passageways from either the Central Passage or the Southern Passage.
If you need to make enquiries there are Information Counters beside the Central Ticket Gate and the North Ticket Gate.
Ticket machines are located beside all the ticket gates.
Ticket machines are operated by touch screens and have English, Japanese, Chinese and Korean language options.
You can use the ticket machines to buy regular tickets or prepaid PASMO IC cards, or to recharge your PASMO card.
Above the ticket machines are fare charts which show all the possible destinations in both English and Japanese along with their fares.
Inside the ticket gates stairs lead up to the Keikyu platforms.
Also inside the ticket gates there are transfer gates for the JR lines, so that passengers arriving on a Keikyu Main Line service can transfer directly to a JR line service.
