JR Yokohama Tower is the station building on the west side of Yokohama Station. This building is 26 stories high at its highest point and has three basement levels.

Inside JR Yokohama Tower is a four-story atrium, two shopping malls and a cinema. There are also offices, which are located between the 12th and 26th floors. The two shopping malls are CIAL, which is a food shopping mall located in the three basement levels, and NEWoMan, which is a more general shopping mall located between the 1st and 10th floors. In this article we will look at the main highlights of this building.
Inside the Atrium
The Atrium
The Atrium is located at the West Entrance of JR Yokohama Station and is four stories high. On the north side of the Atrium is the entrance to the NEWoMan shopping mall. On the south side is the entrance to the JOINUS shopping center.
The Tourist Information Center
On the second floor of the Atrium you can find a Tourist Information Center with multilingual staff who can give you information about Yokohama Station or about Yokohama in general.

NEWoMan Shopping Mall
NEWoMan is located between the 1st and 10th floors of JR Yokohama Tower. This mall has over 100 different stores selling a range of luxury brands, fashion, interior goods, beauty and beauty products. Many of the stores in NEWoMan offer tax-free shopping for foreign visitors to Japan.

NEWoMan has a dining section between the 8th and 10th floors with a variety of restaurants serving Japanese meals such as sushi, yakiniku barbecue, and ramen and soba noodles as well as Chinese, Italian and Mexican food.

However, there are some cafes and restaurants on other floors too. On the 6th floor there is a craft beer bar serving local beers, specialty coffee and light meals.

Outside the bar is a terrace garden with some bench seating where, when the weather is fine, you can enjoy a view over the city.

CIAL Supermarket
CIAL supermarket and food hall occupies the B1, B2 and B3 basement levels. This shopping mall is basically dedicated to food shopping but also has some restaurants and cafes. On the B1 level you can find sweets, a bakery and some groceries.

On the B2 level you can find fruit and vegetables, fish and meat, and more groceries.

The B3 level is taken up with casual diners where you can get Japanese food like sushi, tempura, takoyaki (octopus dumplings) and tsukemen noodles, and international cuisine, which includes Mexican, Vietnamese, Korean and Singapore-style chicken rice!

T-JOY Yokohama Cinema
The T-JOY Yokohama cinema is located on the 8th, 9th and 10th floors of JR Yokohama Tower. This cinema has nine movie theaters, all of which have the latest 4K projectors. The main theater also uses Dolby Cinema technology with cutting-edge imaging and surround sound to create a fully immersive experience. The entrance to the cinema is on the 8th floor.
