Cubic Plaza is a shopping center located inside the Shin-Yokohama Station building. Here you can find a variety of gift shops and restaurants as well as branches of well-known Japanese stores such as the lifestyle store Loft, the casual fashion store Uniqlo, and the electronics store Bic Camera.
Cubic Plaza is located inside the Shin-Yokohama Station building
Cubic Plaza can be found on the first 10 floors of the Shin-Yokohama Station building. In this article we will introduce some of the highlights on each floor.
Gourmet Street on the 1st floor
The 1st floor of Cubic Plaza is home to a casual dining area called “Gourmet Street”. Here you can find a mixture of restaurants serving Chinese, Italian, and Thai food and Japanese favorites such as sushi, tendon (tempura on rice), kushikatsu (deep-fried skewered meat and vegetables), gyudon beef bowls and ramen noodles.
Ippudo ramen noodle shop on the 1st floor
The 2nd floor is the main concourse for Shin-Yokohama Station with ticket gates for the Tokaido Shinkansen and the JR Yokohama Line. However, there are also some Cubic Plaza food and gift shops on this floor as well as a Starbucks coffee shop and a Tourist Information Center.
Grand Kiosk on the 2nd floor
A number of stores on the 2nd floor sell bento lunch boxes which are perfect for taking on a rail journey. Souvenir stores such as Grand Kiosk sell a variety of Western, Japanese and Chinese style confectionery.
Starbucks on the 3rd floor
Another branch of Starbucks can be found on the 3rd floor along with Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, Gindaco takoyaki (octopus dumplings) store, Kobeya Kitchen bakery and café and a 3 Coins shop which sells a range of products for 300 yen.
Hair dryers and curling tongs at Bic Camera on the 3rd floor
The 3rd floor is also the first level where you can find the electronics store Bic Camera, which can also be found of floors 4-9. On this floor Bic Camera sells beauty appliances and umbrellas.
Cameras on sale on the 4th floor
The 4th floor is occupied by Bic Camera. On this floor you can find cameras, video cameras, smart phones and mobile phones. Bic Camera also sells cosmetics and alcohol on this floor.
Bic Camera on the 5th floor
On the 5th floor Bic Camera sells TV and audio equipment.
Uniqlo on the 5th floor
There is also a branch of the fast fashion store Uniqlo on the 5th floor.
Bic Camera on the 6th floor
On the 6th floor Bic Camera sells personal computers, tablets, printers and e-book readers.
Fast fashion on the 6th floor
The fast fashion store GU can also be found on the 6th floor.
Rice cookers on the 7th floor
On the 7th floor Bic Camera sells kitchen and household appliances and bedding.
Loft’s stationery section on the 7th floor
There is also a branch of the Loft lifestyle store on the 7th floor. Here you can find a mixture of cosmetics, stationery, variety goods and gifts.
Watches on the 8th floor
On the 8th floor Bic Camera sells bicycles, sports goods, sunglasses, watches and clocks. There is also a branch of the Sanseido bookstore on this floor.
Keyboards on the 9th floor
On the 9th floor Bic Camera has musical instruments, games and toys.
Italian restaurant Mollette on the 9th floor
The 9th floor also has several restaurants serving beef steaks, hamburger steaks, yakiniku barbecue, doria-style rice gratin and soba noodles. Pasta, pizza, wine and craft beers can also be enjoyed at Italian Café Mollette.
The Royal Host dining area on the 10th floor
More restaurants can be found on the 10th floor serving sushi, sashimi, yakitori grilled chicken, tonkatsu pork cutlets, Chinese yakisoba noodles, and Italian food. Royal Host serves western style meals such as steaks, hamburgers, omelettes, pancakes and sandwiches.
Hotel Associa reception desk on the 10th floor
The reception desk for Hotel Associa Shin-Yokohama is also located on the 10th floor. This is a luxury hotel with comfortably furnished rooms, a lounge, a fitness room, and a self-service laundry.

Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the building close to locations where “Free Wi-Fi” stickers are on display.
A JP Bank ATM cash point can be found on the north-west corner of the 2nd floor. This ATM has English language guidance and accepts most major international bank cards.
There is an automatic currency exchange machine by the 10th floor reception desk of Hotel Associa Shin-Yokohama. This machine takes the following currencies: the US dollar, the Euro, the Chinese yuan, the Korean won, the British pound, the Canadian dollar and the Australian dollar.
Opening Hours
Most stores in Cubic Plaza are open from 10.00 till 21.00. However, some gift shops and food stores open earlier.
Restaurants on the 1st floor are open between 7.00 and 23.00.
Restaurants and cafes on the 3rd and 4th floors are open between 7.00 and 21.00.
Restaurants on the 9th and 10th floors are open between 11.00 and 23.00.
